Spice Up Your Living Room During Stay-at-Home Time

Things Just Got Real With These 2 Virtual Workout Platforms!

Make Fitness a Priority During this Home Quarantine!

So. You’re stuck in the house and you’re going batty. You’re wishing you could just hop in the car and head over to a class at your favorite yoga studio or gym to relieve the tension, but obviously, you can’t. Maybe you’ve been an avid runner and so have taken to the street or trails to get your workouts in. Maybe you’ve been getting creative and making circuits outside in your backyards or in your living rooms. Maybe you’re favorite studios and gyms have gone online. Who knows! Would you like two other fabulous options to keep you fit and fabulous during these unprecedented times?

Allow us to introduce you to Bulldog Online and Future, two fitness companies that arguably have been prepared for this pandemic since their inception. Why? Because from the get-go, their focus has been on at home virtual workouts.

Bulldog Yoga is an online yoga platform for people who hate yoga!

That’s right. Founder, Jon Cummins, created Bulldog Online out of his own love of the physical benefits of yoga, but dislike of the often intimidating traditional yogi vibes. In doing so, he created an online platform that makes yoga more accessible and enjoyable to all. Whether you’ve got 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or even an hour, there is a class for you. The classes are recorded live, offering a virtual feeling of being right there in the studio, but in your own, judgment-free home, office or hotel room. No Sanskrit. No chanting. No intimidation. NO CORONAVIRUS! They have a FREE 30 Day Trial period, and then it’s $12.99/month thereafter, should you decide to continue. NO commitment necessary, and NO penalty for canceling, it’s a no brainer during these unprecedented times.

Future is one-on-one personal digital training with top-level coaches (think Olympics and the NBA!)

You read that right! Want your own personal trainer but can’t get to the gym to make it happen? No problem. Future offers personal trainers virtually, so you can get personalized fitness from the comfort of your own home (or hotel room, or office, or wherever it suits you…even the gym!). Their coaches are among the top in the world, including some who were Olympic athletes, and some who worked for the NBA! They also all have either a BA or a Masters in all fitness certifications.

Bottom line? These are the best coaches you could ask for. These coaches work with clients over live video streams and are always available via text between sessions. They monitor your activity through your Apple Watch so they can proactively check in with you! So even on days when it feels impossible to find motivation, Future’s coaches give you the support you need to push through.

Right now they are offering $100 off the first-month membership for the month of April.

So there you have it. Two amazing ways you can stay fit and fabulous during the pandemic, which incidentally, is great for your immunity too.

The Wellness Your Way Festival is Back – An Affordable Music & Wellness Festival For All

Grammy Nominated Singer Jewel’s Festival comes to Denver & Cincinnati…

So, you wanted to go to the Goop wellness festival but couldn’t quite stomach the $500+ price tag for a ticket? We totally get it. The good news is that wellness festivals can actually be accessible to everyone – at any price point. Let’s leave the gooping to the goopers, and instead let’s focus on the crown Jewel (wink wink) of festivals: Wellness Your Way Festival!

Grammy Nominated Singer/songwriter, Jewel (yes, that Jewel) partnered with Kroger and Inclusion Companies to launch the first ever, affordable music and wellness festival last October in Cincinnati. As you can imagine, it was a huge success. But not just because of their star studded line up, including Jewel herself. It was because this festival did something no other festivals appear to be doing: it was made affordable to everyone, no matter their income level. And when it comes to music and wellness, shouldn’t we all have the chance to learn about what makes us healthy and listen to good music? We think so.

Wellness Your Way Festival is here to stay – they will be back in Cincinnati this October! But they didn’t want to stop at just one city, so they have added another stop: Denver, Colorado in August!

That’s right, Denver fans and citizens, you can attend a celebrity studded, affordable wellness festival in those Colorado rockies for a small fee: $35 for a 3 day VIP pass, $25 for a regular 3 days pass (same deal without the bells and whistles of the VIP stuff), or $10 for a day pass to either day (Friday, Saturday of Sunday).

Got any children under 12? Great. They are FREE!!

You can expect workouts from celebrity trainers like Tony Horton (creator of P90X), The Tone It Up Girls, Denise Austin, cooking demos from famous chefs like The Today Show nutritionist Joy Bauer, main stage events, and a speaker series with influential people – including Jewel, of course!

There is literally no reason not to go to this festival – you have only your health to gain! Oh, and a whole lot of fun too.

So spread the word: if you live in Denver, get tickets! If you have friends there, tell them about it. And if you just feel like posting about this fantabulous and kind hearted event on your social media channels, please do that too.

The company has 1,500 studios across 40 countries and is the fastest growing fitness franchise in the world.

The Other Guys star has other fitness-related investments, including StockX, a startup focused on trainer resales, Aquahydrate, a water brand, and Performance Inspired Nutrition, a workout supplement.

Mark’s investment comes after he offered a very detailed breakdown of his workout schedule, which begins at 2:30am and ends at 7:30pm.

On the former rapper’s check list were two major workouts that lasted more than an hour, two showers, snacks and meals, a cryo chamber recovery, golf and business meetings, in a routine that has baffled his fans.

It all begins at 2:30am when his alarm goes off. Next it’s a prayer session. Then the action star has breakfast at 3:15 am, his first meal of many throughout the day.

At 5:30am it’a a workout meal and then a shower at 6am, which bizarrely appears to last for 90 minutes.

By 7:30am the Shooter actor is playing golf, which could be considered another workout, but only for 30 minutes as a snack follows at 8am. Next it’s a cryo chamber session.

A Story of Duel Transformation:

One’s Man’s Courageous Transgender Journey & 12 Week Muscle
Building Transformation
Meet Parker Price. Born Kate Price 28 years ago, Parker dreamed of being a man since the age of 8. Parker is now the muscular, toned, man that he always knew he identified with. But Parker didn’t want to just become a man. He wanted to become a muscular one at that! One whose physique would be in the top 10% of men.

But he felt ‘skinny fat’ and struggled to achieve the body shape he wanted training on his own. Successive gym memberships and PTs elsewhere failed to deliver the results he craved, leaving him completely demotivated.

Once he found Ultimate Performance, everything changed. Over 12 weeks, he lost 20 lbs, cut down to a super-lean body 7% body fat and built a truly astonishing physique. His incredible fitness transformation is living proof that you can motivate to do anything you want to gain confidence and more:

“I knew a little bit, but not enough to get me there.  I was just feeling really demotivated and really uninspired.  And then I found Ultimate Performance.”

For Parker, the Ultimate Performance program helped him achieve the vision of masculinity he had wanted to embody from the moment he began transitioning four years ago – a man who is strong, lean and full of confidence.
Having a great physique like his inspiration Laithe Ashley was the final but elusive piece of the puzzle for Parker to create that masculine identity and feel like he belonged among his male peers.
“I hope my transformation can inspire others the way that someone like Laithe has inspired me. For me, the biggest thing is going back to that whole energy thing and feeling better about yourself. It’s not about how you look. There were times when I compared myself to [my trainer] and I felt demotivated on my journey, “ says Parker.

“I hope that seeing me makes you think like ‘I can do this too’. But I never want you to feel like you have to compare where you’re at today to where I’m at. It’s not just what you see in front of you. There’s a lot of hard work and hard times and sad times, and tough times, and mad times that I went through to get here.”

The Affordable Health Festival Everyone is Talking About

Wellness Your Way Festival – October 4-7

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of reporting about a wellness festival hosted by singer/songwriter, Jewel, and Kroger (yes, the grocery company) called Wellness Your Way. It takes place October 4-7 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and of the many amazing things about this festival, perhaps the best of all is the price:

A day pass will be a mere $15. That is a far cry from the $500+ one might spend at your typical wellness festival.

Why so cheap?

Because Jewel may be a superstar now, but that wasn’t always her fate. She was homeless by the age of 18 and suffered from debilitating panic attacks. She found writing and meditation before she even knew how to define them in those words, and it transformed her life. She asserts that she was able to quell panic attacks, get healthy, and live the life she has now by changing one thought at a time.

The media is buzzing about this event. People Magazine, OK Magazine, US Magazine, and even Forbes are all raving about and anticipating this event, which features people like celebrity fitness trainer and creator of P90X, Tony Horton, celebrity chef Michael Symon, The Today Show nutritionist Joy Bauer, and a host of other amazing people, including, of course, a performance each night by Jewel herself.

We hope that this is the beginning of many affordable wellness festivals around the US and beyond. Because when it comes to wellness, it shouldn’t matter how much money you have in your bank account. As long as we have breath in our lungs, access to information about living healthy should always be readily available.

Nirvana in the Redwoods

5-star Retreat Resort Center, Skylonda Lodge, Celebrates New Wellness Retreat Program, June 2018

Wellness retreats are all the rage these days. And for good reason: we as a culture are more stressed out than ever before, and we would do well to get outta dodge to re-calibrate our frazzled nervous systems (can we get an amen?).

If every part of your body screamed “yes” as you read that paragraph, you’re going to want to mark your calendars for June 2018. Because Skylonda Lodge, a 5-star resort that has been vacationed at by such stars as Barbra Streisand, Robin Williams, and Cameron Diaz, is launching its luxurious property re-imagined as a wellness destination retreat center, tucked away in the Redwood Forest between Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. No expense was spared to create the newly renovated front of the house, 38 breathtaking guest rooms, a 1000 sq. ft. fitness center with top of the line equipment, a massage wing, a sparkling saline pool with Jacuzzi and saunas, and an outdoor obstacle course nestled in the redwoods to promote transformation by creating balance and serenity in harmony with nature.

Did we imagine that, or did we just feel your body relax?

Hailed by Travel+Leisure as one of the “Last of the Lodges: 25 American Greats,“ this “nirvana of the Redwoods” is hosting a 4 day and a 7-day retreat to launch their new program, one that focuses on less technology and more offline connection. The SkylondaProgram focuses on exercises and activities that boost metabolism, support healthy weight loss and prevent aging-related decline in the body and mind.

Skylonda Lodge retreats will be available beginning on June 21, 2018, but if you want to experience the magic before then, a sneak peek will be available in early June. Stay tuned for details. Your body – and your mind – will thank you!
