Spice Up Your Living Room During Stay-at-Home Time

Things Just Got Real With These 2 Virtual Workout Platforms!

Make Fitness a Priority During this Home Quarantine!

So. You’re stuck in the house and you’re going batty. You’re wishing you could just hop in the car and head over to a class at your favorite yoga studio or gym to relieve the tension, but obviously, you can’t. Maybe you’ve been an avid runner and so have taken to the street or trails to get your workouts in. Maybe you’ve been getting creative and making circuits outside in your backyards or in your living rooms. Maybe you’re favorite studios and gyms have gone online. Who knows! Would you like two other fabulous options to keep you fit and fabulous during these unprecedented times?

Allow us to introduce you to Bulldog Online and Future, two fitness companies that arguably have been prepared for this pandemic since their inception. Why? Because from the get-go, their focus has been on at home virtual workouts.

Bulldog Yoga is an online yoga platform for people who hate yoga!

That’s right. Founder, Jon Cummins, created Bulldog Online out of his own love of the physical benefits of yoga, but dislike of the often intimidating traditional yogi vibes. In doing so, he created an online platform that makes yoga more accessible and enjoyable to all. Whether you’ve got 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or even an hour, there is a class for you. The classes are recorded live, offering a virtual feeling of being right there in the studio, but in your own, judgment-free home, office or hotel room. No Sanskrit. No chanting. No intimidation. NO CORONAVIRUS! They have a FREE 30 Day Trial period, and then it’s $12.99/month thereafter, should you decide to continue. NO commitment necessary, and NO penalty for canceling, it’s a no brainer during these unprecedented times.

Future is one-on-one personal digital training with top-level coaches (think Olympics and the NBA!)

You read that right! Want your own personal trainer but can’t get to the gym to make it happen? No problem. Future offers personal trainers virtually, so you can get personalized fitness from the comfort of your own home (or hotel room, or office, or wherever it suits you…even the gym!). Their coaches are among the top in the world, including some who were Olympic athletes, and some who worked for the NBA! They also all have either a BA or a Masters in all fitness certifications.

Bottom line? These are the best coaches you could ask for. These coaches work with clients over live video streams and are always available via text between sessions. They monitor your activity through your Apple Watch so they can proactively check in with you! So even on days when it feels impossible to find motivation, Future’s coaches give you the support you need to push through.

Right now they are offering $100 off the first-month membership for the month of April.

So there you have it. Two amazing ways you can stay fit and fabulous during the pandemic, which incidentally, is great for your immunity too.

Have you ever been out on your run and almost stopped dead in your tracks because you saw some chick wearing the coolest headband? You wanted to ask her where it was from because the pattern was so cool, and you’d never seen it before. You also noted that her headband was staying in place – no hint of it sliding up toward the crown of her head, threatening to fall from grace.

You didn’t ask, but we can tell you: it was probably a Treadband. TreadBands is the ultimate non-slip headband designed for the most serious of athletes whose main goal – aside from CRUSHING it – is to keep sweat and hair out of their face during a workout (can we get an amen?). Influenced by the gripping power of a tire tread, TreadBands’ patented grip strip helps you workout without any distractions.

Stubborn against slips, TreadBands complement any routine and come in the cutest and my stylish of designs. How many designs? Too many to count. Plus, they can do custom ones too.

Yoga for the Non-Yogi? Meet Bulldog Yoga. No Sanskrit. No Chanting. Just Yoga & Really Cool Music.

If yoga has you rolling your eyes, keep reading. If all that chanting has you running for the door, and all the crazy language (aka Sanskrit) makes you want to yell, scream, then you need to know about Bulldog Yoga.

Bulldog Yoga is an online platform that makes yoga accessible and fun. How? It’s yoga without the traditional bells and whistles. It’s yoga for the people who don’t do yoga. You don’t need to be able to turn yourself into a pretzel to do it (but if you can do that, well, that’s a pretty neat party trick. Go you!). It’s a show-up-as-you-are kind of flow set to amazing playlists that will give you all the benefits of yoga but with the feel of a cardio workout class.

But wait! There’s more! For just 3 easy payments of $199, you’ll get…

Just kidding. But there is more. If you’re too busy to workout, Bulldog is for you. If you’re short on cash to workout, Bulldog is for you. If you travel a lot and don’t get a lot of time to workout, Bulldog is for you.

Basically, Bulldog yoga is the most user-friendly, time-friendly, budget-friendly, online yoga platform you’ll find. In their own words:

  • This fun, fitness-fueled yoga is all about what you want – not what some “yoga expert” says you should want.
  • Improve your fitness and strength, get flexible and, yes, have some fun. Listen to bangin’ playlists (everything from pop to rock to country) and do it for you! Don’t fret about any of the typical yoga/fitness studio “scene.”

Do it at your office (shout out to those productive lunch breaks!). Do it with your children at your feet (shout out to those busy mamas and papas). Do it at night to unwind (but fear not – you don’t have to put down that glass of wine. Take sips in between!). Don’t let lack of time, money, motivation, or accessibility be the reason you don’t get the benefits of yoga.

The Wellness Your Way Festival is Back – An Affordable Music & Wellness Festival For All

Grammy Nominated Singer Jewel’s Festival comes to Denver & Cincinnati…

So, you wanted to go to the Goop wellness festival but couldn’t quite stomach the $500+ price tag for a ticket? We totally get it. The good news is that wellness festivals can actually be accessible to everyone – at any price point. Let’s leave the gooping to the goopers, and instead let’s focus on the crown Jewel (wink wink) of festivals: Wellness Your Way Festival!

Grammy Nominated Singer/songwriter, Jewel (yes, that Jewel) partnered with Kroger and Inclusion Companies to launch the first ever, affordable music and wellness festival last October in Cincinnati. As you can imagine, it was a huge success. But not just because of their star studded line up, including Jewel herself. It was because this festival did something no other festivals appear to be doing: it was made affordable to everyone, no matter their income level. And when it comes to music and wellness, shouldn’t we all have the chance to learn about what makes us healthy and listen to good music? We think so.

Wellness Your Way Festival is here to stay – they will be back in Cincinnati this October! But they didn’t want to stop at just one city, so they have added another stop: Denver, Colorado in August!

That’s right, Denver fans and citizens, you can attend a celebrity studded, affordable wellness festival in those Colorado rockies for a small fee: $35 for a 3 day VIP pass, $25 for a regular 3 days pass (same deal without the bells and whistles of the VIP stuff), or $10 for a day pass to either day (Friday, Saturday of Sunday).

Got any children under 12? Great. They are FREE!!

You can expect workouts from celebrity trainers like Tony Horton (creator of P90X), The Tone It Up Girls, Denise Austin, cooking demos from famous chefs like The Today Show nutritionist Joy Bauer, main stage events, and a speaker series with influential people – including Jewel, of course!

There is literally no reason not to go to this festival – you have only your health to gain! Oh, and a whole lot of fun too.

So spread the word: if you live in Denver, get tickets! If you have friends there, tell them about it. And if you just feel like posting about this fantabulous and kind hearted event on your social media channels, please do that too.

The Other Guys star has other fitness-related investments, including StockX, a startup focused on trainer resales, Aquahydrate, a water brand, and Performance Inspired Nutrition, a workout supplement.

Mark’s investment comes after he offered a very detailed breakdown of his workout schedule, which begins at 2:30am and ends at 7:30pm.

On the former rapper’s check list were two major workouts that lasted more than an hour, two showers, snacks and meals, a cryo chamber recovery, golf and business meetings, in a routine that has baffled his fans.

It all begins at 2:30am when his alarm goes off. Next it’s a prayer session. Then the action star has breakfast at 3:15 am, his first meal of many throughout the day.

At 5:30am it’a a workout meal and then a shower at 6am, which bizarrely appears to last for 90 minutes.

By 7:30am the Shooter actor is playing golf, which could be considered another workout, but only for 30 minutes as a snack follows at 8am. Next it’s a cryo chamber session.

INTRODUCING THE NEWEST IN SMART FITNESS: AUSFIT TORSION BARS

© Lyndon Marceau / marceauphotography

Once upon a time, there was a guy named Anthony. Last name Richardson. He spent 11 years in the Australian Military. The subtext of that sentence? He’s super ripped. In 2013, he created a fitness product called AUSFIT Torsion Bars based on a very specific piece of equipment Anthony used to use during his time in the military (aka getting ripped).

A torsion bar is basically a heavy steel bar that is fitted to the chassis of military vehicles. It is used as a weighted piece of equipment during training drills and military fitness exercises (sounds like boot camp on steroids, can we get an amen?). When Anthony got out of the military, he sought out a similar apparatus to use in his civilian boot camp sessions as a personal trainer. When he couldn’t find one, he did what any good entrepreneur would do:

He made his own.

After the fourth iteration of the AUSFIT Torsion Bar, Anthony finally got what he wanted: a sleek design, robust durability and versatility. Boom. These bars are now used in boot camps, personal training sessions, cycling and Pilates, and even rehabilitation centers across Australia, as well as for the Australian and New Zealand military (Woah, that was a mouth full). One of the most amazing things about these bars is how portable they are: you can literally use them to train anywhere, anytime.

AUSFIT Torsion bars even offer a monthly ‘Train Anywhere’ membership program which educates and motivates their customers by providing fresh workout ideas by some of the best trainers in the industry. Thus, making Torsion Bars suitable for any outdoor or at home fitness routine.

A Torsion Bar workout is a high intensity, full body strength workout encompassing tradition compound movements as well as slow isolating exercises using off-set grips on the Torsion Bar to increase the load on the muscle without increasing the weight of the Bar. A Torsion Bar session will have you moving through exercises you would have usually performed with a dumbbell, Kettle bell, Barbell and Medicine Ball all in one workout with 1 piece of equipment – The Torsion Bar.
You probably want one NOW! We feel you! Thankfully AUSFIT Torsion Bars are launching in the US in August and September, so mark your calendars for the newest is smart fitness!  AusFit will be doing FREE workouts around the country!  Yes FREE!  Stay tuned to see what cities they will be in!
